Tourists cook eggs in Ogama no Yu, the cooking onsen

Nozawa Onsen, Japan - May 2019: A couple offers the photographer one of the hard boiled eggs they just cooked in the hot spring. This outdoor bath is not open to non-villagers, who use the boiling water to cook eggs and vegetables. There are boxes of boiling hot water scattered throughout Nozawa village where locals (and visitors who may purchase eggs in nearby shops) put their eggs (or veggies) in string bags, or baskets, to hard boil them.
