Juchitan, Mexico: Jose Alberto Lopez Jimenez, or Paola, with her friend "La Luz de la Luna," in Paola's room. They are muxes, or transvestites, who live in the Oaxacan town of Juchitan. Muxes are very common, and accepted, in this Southern Oaxacan region, which claims to not discriminate against gays.
